Hoarding Study

Is it hard for you to throw things away? Is your home very cluttered? Do you have a strong urge to buy things that may not have an immediate use?

OR

Is it easy for you to throw things away? Is your home quite well organized? Can you resist the urge to buy new things that you don’t necessarily need?

If so, you may be eligible to participate in a research project.

Researchers in the Department of Psychology at Ryerson University are seeking individuals with and without hoarding problems to participate in a virtual-reality study about hoarding disorder.

Participation involves an online screening, telephone screening, and 2 visits to our lab at Ryerson University (approximately 1.5 hours each). Compensation of $30 will be provided for completion of the study.

This research study has been reviewed and approved by the Ryerson University Research Ethics Board.
