Congratulations to Dr. Matilda Nowakowski, who recently received a Father Sean O’Sullivan Centre (FSORC) Postdoctoral Fellowship Award. Her new position will begin in September 2014, and will involve developing an integrated clinical and research program in GI Psychology involving the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences (McMaster University), Anxiety Treatment and Research Centre (St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton), and the Hamilton Health Sciences Gasteroenterology Program. Dr. Nowakowski recently completed her internship at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton. Her doctoral dissertation (“Modifying interpretation biases: Effects on symptomatology, cognitive processes, behavior and physiology in social anxiety”) is currently under review.
